We are making a difference

We help people find meaningful homes for creative materials they no longer need. Many of our donors are clearing out the studios or supplies of loved ones who have passed, downsizing, or simply decluttering. Rather than sending these valuable items to the landfill, we receive and redistribute them to individuals, educators, community programs, and artists who can use and appreciate them. In doing so, we honor the creative spirit of those who came before, reduce waste, and make art accessible to all.

Growth.

Thanks to your generous support—through incoming donations, outgoing materials, and in-kind contributions—Giving Art to Missoula has grown into a vibrant hub of creativity and community connection. Every donated item not only finds a new life in the hands of someone who needs it, but also creates meaningful experiences: children are learning how to “shop” in a thoughtful, non-commercial environment, individuals are discovering sustainable ways to access and share resources, and communities near and far are being inspired to launch their own free art supply programs. Together, we’re proving that creativity and generosity can reshape how we care for each other—and the planet.
